What does a Special Education Advocate do?
The IEP and Special Education process can be an emotional journey for families. The landscape of Special Education guidelines and laws is ever-changing, and if you do not fully understand the IEP and Special Education process, you can easily get overwhelmed.
Parents are often unaware of their rights and role in planning and executing their child's education. A Special Education advocate will help you understand the IEP process, aid you in developing a productive dialogue and a strong collaborative relationship with your child's educational team and school district.
A Special Education advocate will also provide you with expert advice and the tools needed to access your child's complete education. We will work hand in hand with you, providing support and guidance as you determine how to access the best method of learning for your child.
